Job

Don't Waste This Time #

The Bible Project - Job

"If God is just, then why do bad things happen to good people"? If you have asked yourself this question, you can relate to the main character of the Book of Job (which is Job, himself). The Book of Job deals with the puzzle is God just and does He run the world according to justice. The answer might surprise you. Ultimately the book is an invitation to trust God!

What are the big assumptions of God's justice, and do you have these same assumptions?

What is the summary of God's answer to Job?

How can you take comfort and peace in God's answer to Job about why bad things happen?

How does God honor Job in His response to him?

How can you apply this answer to the suffering you have endured or are enduring in your life?

What is today's date? What are some highs and lows? How are you experiencing the presence of God? Who and what are you praying for?

Email these answers and notes to yourself. Write as much or little as you want. Save the emails and you'll have a record of this time.
