Zechariah

Don't Waste This Time #

The Bible Project - Zechariah

Zechariah was one of the prophets who served as a motivator for the rebuilding of the Temple. The book focuses primarily on two people: Joshua, the High Priest, and Zerubbabel, the King. It’s a bizarre collection of visions in the form of dreams and poetry, which can be challenging to interpret.

How is Joshua a symbol of the coming Messiah?

What does Zechariah say about the timing of the coming of the Messianic Kingdom?

When the people ask Joshua if they will see the Messianic Kingdom, he reverses the question and essentially asks them if they will become people who are ready to participate in God’s Kingdom. We, too, are awaiting the Messianic Kingdom. How do we become people who are prepared to participate in it?

How does readiness to participate in the Kingdom relate to the coming of the New Jerusalem?

What is today's date? What are some highs and lows? How are you experiencing the presence of God? Who and what are you praying for?
