Malachi

Don't Waste This Time #

The Bible Project - Malachi

Malachi takes place about 100 years after the end of the Babylonian exile. It will be the last word from God for 400 years until the New Testament era. Israel expected the end of exile to begin a new period of godliness, with the coming of the Messiah and the establishment of the New Jerusalem. The reality was very different. The book of Malachi is a series of disputes between God and Israel to show the Israelites the depth of their corruption.

Summarize the six disputes between God and the people and how God responds to the peoples’ complaints.

Malachi 3:1 says, “Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me.” What does this verse tell us about who the Messiah is?

How do the closing three verses of the book point to future events?

What is today's date? What are some highs and lows? How are you experiencing the presence of God? Who and what are you praying for?
